9th class is Matric Part 1 — the first year of the board course, and the first time your marks are recorded on a board result card. The year is split between the compulsory subjects that everyone sits and the science subjects you have chosen: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science, alongside Mathematics.

The MCQ section carries real weight in every one of these papers and is the cheapest place to gain or lose marks, because it rewards recall of the textbook rather than exam technique. Working through a chapter's questions straight after you finish reading it is the fastest way to find out which definitions and formulae have not actually stuck.

Questions about 9th Class (Matric Part 1)

Which subjects are compulsory in 9th class?

Islamiat is compulsory for every 9th class student and is examined on its own paper. The science subjects — Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science — sit alongside it.

Is 9th class the same course for every Punjab board?

Yes. The textbook chapters and the paper pattern are shared across the nine Punjab boards, so the same chapter questions apply whichever board examines you.

Can I practise only one subject?

Yes. Pick the subject below and you can work through it chapter by chapter, or take the full book test that draws questions from every chapter at once.
