10th class Chemistry moves from the general principles of 9th class into named chemistry. It opens on states of matter, stoichiometry, electrochemistry, reaction kinetics, salts and the chemistry of nitrogen and sulphur, with a chapter on water, then turns to a substantial organic section: organic chemistry, hydrocarbons, alcohols and carboxylic acids.

That organic block is the new ground this year, and it is the part most students find hardest to hold on to, because it is a set of named reactions rather than a principle you can derive. The closing chapters apply the course to biochemistry and polymers.

Questions about 10th Class (Matric Part 2) Chemistry

Does 10th class Chemistry cover organic chemistry?

Yes, and it is a substantial part of the course — organic chemistry, hydrocarbons, monohydroxy alkanes or alcohols, and carboxylic acids — with biochemistry and polymers closing the book.

Do the questions cover reaction conditions and colours?

Yes. The recall questions follow the textbook's own details, including the conditions and observations that the MCQ paper tends to test.
